What if you knew that today was the last day on earth, how would you live those 24 hours? I don’t mean that you will be dying, but you will be lifted up to meet the Lord in the clouds. What would you want to do in those last 24 hours? A time of celebration? A frenzy trying to get prepared? A peaceful time soaking in the Lord’s Word? Sharing the Good News with everyone, everywhere around you? Chasing down all the people that you know never gave their life to Jesus? Doing all the things that are still on your bucket list?
I am serious about this question, because if everyone would answer this honestly and consider that this might actually be the last day, it actually would become the last day. I say that because it would cause everyone to turn and help all those they know are not saved and they wouldn’t have any fear of what the person might say or what people might think about them, because they would know that it truly is the last day and there is only ONE that each person has to give account of their life to after they leave here and that is the Lord.
I have given a great deal of time to helping the children in Foster Care and those that aged out of care find hope and have a brighter future, but there are so many people that I could be helping and praying for without ceasing. The Bible tells us that we should pray without ceasing. It also says that we must accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and believe that he is the One that God sent to save the world, but there are some that have been taught lies and they are in need of Christians to pray for their souls. We all need prayers and we all need to cover each other by praying for each other.
I believe that if the people really knew the Truth of how much they are all loved and how great the Father, Son and Holy Spirit truly are, there would be no hatred and division over nonsense that currently steals so much of the people’s time and produces only more evil. If the people actually knew and believed the Truth the world would look like a beautiful blessing to all people.
The redeemed of the Lord should say so, and they should also help others to find the only true salvation in this life, which is Jesus the Christ. I don’t want to sound like a nagging preacher, but I want the people to know that everyone has a purpose that God created them to do. If you are a paramedic or first responder, get filled with the Holy Spirit and begin fulfilling the work of saving and delivering the people from sickness and demonic oppression. This is something that all spirit-filled believers can and should be doing, but how much more the people who actually have paid positions like a fire fighter or a police officer? How much quicker would we see the lost saved than to have our first responders setting the people free from demonic oppression and healing the sick?
If we had judges, attorneys and prison guards all spirit-filled believers, WOW, how amazing would that be?
There would soon only be peaceful communities and joyful neighbors always eager to help anyone in need. No more homeless, no more helpless, no more victims, no more abusive and self-centered people. All would be willing and eager to protect and pray and none would be in fear!
Being saved is not enough to walk in the power and overcome this world. It takes a baptism in the Holy Spirit to even be able to do a task as simple as reading and understanding the Bible correctly.
I know that there are a few religions that don’t accept the Holy Spirit, but that is incredibly strange and completely unbiblical. Speaking in new tongues, joyful, eager and ready to do the will of God are not drunk or crazy, they are the children of God who walk in the Holy Spirit and trust God for everything they need in this life. Don’t limit God, by believing He can’t or won’t do something for you. Receive and believe He can and will and is waiting for you to agree with His plans and not the enemies.
He is the God of miracles, love and faithfulness. He has done everything we would ever need and He made it all for us to enjoy and receive with gratitude and not bragging about what we could do or thought we did, but realizing that all has come from Him and to thank Him and believe for good for all.
