Give Glory to God!

Many people confuse walking with God with what they have to do for God. But God doesn’t need anything from anyone. He is the One who makes us holy and clean. Our part is to trust Him, surrender to Him, and become open and willing to whatever He asks us to do.

Sometimes He may simply want you to sit with Him and be refreshed in His presence.

You do not have to perform for God.

Does He enjoy your praise and your songs of worship? Of course. Does He delight when His children do good, share His love, care for people, and walk in the purpose He has for them? Absolutely. He loves to see His children filled with His love and peace, confident that He is with them and will help them.

But if you believe you must earn God’s approval, struggle to keep His attention, or continually work in order to remain in Christ, you are living under a burden you were never meant to carry. Surrender that burden and allow Jesus to release you from the chains of religion.

Freedom in Christ is something I cannot fully explain to someone who has never experienced it, but I can tell you what it is not.

It is not something that constantly wears you out.

It is not something that fills you with severe anxiety.

It is not about punishing yourself in order to become closer to God.

It is not living in continual fear that God will leave you if you fail.

Freedom in Christ is knowing that you are no longer a slave to the bondage that produces fear, worry, dread, misery, and despair.

It is knowing that you belong to Christ.

It is knowing that His love is not something you earn.

It is learning to rest in Him, trust Him, listen to Him, and follow Him—not because you are terrified of losing Him, but because you know you are loved.

That is freedom.

We are Holy because of Him and NOT what we did or have to do. So rest in His everlasting love.
