There are many experts on the issues of depression and suicide, and I don’t claim to be a highly esteemed psychiatrist or certified mental health care worker, but I do claim to know the solution and way of escape from these and all heavy burdens and worries of this world. I once lived in darkness and the misery of fear and wrong thinking, but I was given the keys and the authority and power to overcome this world when I turned my heart to discover the Truth.
“I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have troubles, but take heart, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
The words of Jesus need to be received and understood by all so that the people can resist the temptation and lure of the enemy to destroy, steal and kill. When I had no understanding of the Word of God, I used to always wonder what my troubles had to do with Jesus overcoming the world. After years of stumbling around in darkness, I went on a thorough search to find solutions for the victims of child abuse and other evils that destroy the youth and families in the world. I wanted to know how to stop the evil. I needed to find hope, because I couldn’t see how things could ever get better for the millions suffering around the world.
I went on a journey that was greater and more awesome than I could even comprehend. I found that the Lord was not only real, but also the source for everything good that all the people needed to be free and live again. I discovered that as I would believe the words of the scriptures and take them into my heart as the Truth, they would manifest as I was believing. If I didn’t understand them, I could ask God and He would help me to gain what was needed in the moment it was needed. The Bible became so powerfully alive to me, that I couldn’t get enough of it into me fast enough. I would spend hours, days, weeks, months and eventually years devouring the words of life.
Suddenly I no longer lived in the misery of the world and all of its demonic oppression, but I lived in the richness of Christ. I had peace that truly does surpass all worldly understanding in the most severe afflictions and the times that most people were falling apart, I was falling deeper in love with Jesus. He was no longer a person from a book that was studied by scholars and multitudes of the world’s population year after year, but he was my friend and my greatest love. He knew all of me and still loved me. He didn’t get annoyed if I talked too much or had too many questions.
He loved to teach me and show me awesome things that no one else knew or had ever given thought to yet.
With all the issues everywhere today from suicide to covid, the world looks like a place of darkness and despair, but their is always a way of escape for anyone that truly desires to be free from the evil. We have a gift from God that is available to all people in all places to receive and be free. That gift is the Lord Jesus. Asking the Lord to take over our lives and become our savior and redeemer isn’t just for after we leave the earth so we can go to Heaven. It’s about living in abundance here on the earth by doing life in partnership with the Lord. He is the solution to every issue that anyone will ever face. He is the peace that the world longs to find and he is the Truth that sets the people free. Free from what? Free from the oppression and afflictions like poverty, sickness, depression, and every other work of the kingdom of darkness.
I am not saying that religion will set you free or that going to a church every Sunday will get you out of the place of despair, but I am saying that for all those who truly desire to be free from the grips of a life of bondage and the corruption that leaves a soul bankrupt and in fear, Jesus is the TRUE WAY to LIFE. Jesus is the TRUTH, and he has no evil or deception in him. He leads the prisoner out and heals the sick and raises even the dead back to life. He is the identical image of the Father God, and the ONLY road or path that can bring us back into the presence and relational position we need with our Heavenly Father.
I know that many people claim to know God and they will even think that because they have heard about the Lord that is good enough, but that is nothing at all. In fact, God told me that most people that say they know Him have never known Him. He was saying that to help me understand that it is one of the biggest issues the people face right now. They don’t really know the perfect love of the Father.
Fear is the proof and the reason that all who do know the Truth must be working harder in order to help the weak in faith and rescue the lost by going out and getting them.
Prayer:
“Jesus, I know that I can’t do this world alone anymore, and I am sorry that I never fully gave my heart and life to you, but if you will take over now and forgive me for ignoring you all these years, I willingly lay down all my plans and will for you to use it for your glory. I ask you to come into my heart and create in me a new heart and uphold me with your right Spirit.”
