Some people have the idea that they need to get themselves all cleaned up before they can come to God, but that is not what God wants from us. Jesus came seeking mercy and not sacrifice. He came to win back the lost souls, and He even died to make sure that this was possible. His death, life and resurrection are what sets us free. Free from the condemnation of sin; free from the guilt and shame; free from the past mistakes; free to come to the Father just as we are.
In God’s great mercy and grace, His steadfast love pours out through His Holy Spirit into all creation. Call on Him, taste and see that He is good! His love is an everlasting love. The whole Bible is a book of the greatest love story ever known.
Once you have read the book in its entirety this revelation of love is clear.
It is a story of many lives that walked with God, ran from God, didn’t know God and those that thought they knew God, but never knew Him at all.
God is love; Perfect love that is undefiled and without end. He created each of us for a purpose. He doesn’t want any of us to perish. He wants all to come to repentance and live eternally with Him. To repent of ones sins means to acknowledge that we are sinners and that we need a savior. No matter what you have been through or are in the midst of now, God has made a way to bring you back to Him, because He loves all of His creation. That way is through accepting His Son, Jesus Christ, as your Lord. He covers you in his righteousness and cleanses you, so that you can approach the Father yourself.
I have heard people say that not even God can make a way out of their circumstances, and I want everyone to understand that NOTHING is too difficult for God. If you don’t believe me, why not give Him a try and see how He can take that broken, shattered mess of a life and turn it into a beautiful story of redemption through His steadfast love. Read the book of Psalms and read how David struggled through his life with ups and downs, but through it all, God never let him go. He hasn’t changed since the beginning of time, and He is able to handle anything that you can throw at Him.
The life of Jesus Christ in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John give a reflection of who God is for all of us to see and understand that God isn’t the one that puts the heavy burdens and laws on our lives. God is the One that loves us and wants to heal all of our diseases and heal all of our hurts even when it means going against the laws of man. Don’t let the doctrine of men keep you away from God, because God’s heart is full of mercy and grace for your life, and He wants more than anything to have you with Him.
God will cover you in His love and protection, so that you can get through anything that this world might do to you. Just know that God is love and all good things come from God. Don’t believe that God wants you to be sick to teach you a lesson, or that He has caused someone to suffer for His plans. He will take what Satan has meant for harm and use it for good, but He is not the cause of that suffering.
I included the lyrics to a song that the Holy Spirit put in my mind recently when I was thinking about how I should talk to God. I know it might sound strange or ridiculous to some, but I assure you that I would never have looked up the song otherwise. I didn’t really know the song until that day, and I would have never thought that it could be a message from God, but I promise you that God gave me the song when I asked how I should talk to Him.
