Hope in God!

HOPE!

“LET YOUR STEADFAST LOVE BE UPON US, AS WE HOPE IN YOU, OH LORD!”

What do you do when you live in a city plagued by evil?  The news reports on the endless stories of liars, thieves, murderers, child molesters, drug addicts, sex traffickers and destruction of the worst kind.  My eyes and ears are tormented by the suffering that surrounds my city.  The people live in constant fear, anger, envy, strife, division and delusion.  The enemy has blinded all of the eyes, and the hearts are so hardened that no one understands what is real or how to love with pure hearts.

“Bless and forgive all of them Lord!  Open their eyes to truth and pour out your Holy Spirit to cover every inch of this state!  We need to know the steadfast love that comes from above!  Our lives are broken and evil has crept into our hearts. We are no longer walking in truth, but we live in a world of lies that keep our eyes blind.  We need your light to shine through the darkness and expose the lies of the enemy!  Don’t listen to their condemning words that they shout about one another.  They know not what they are doing. Oh Lord, expedite your plans!  Hasten these last days, for I can’t bear to hear another story about a mother killing her own children in order to escape the torment of not knowing the truth. Father, I praise you for your perfect and just ways that are so great and the depth is beyond man’s understanding.  You are the source of everything good in this earth, and we need MORE of you, not less.  Let your will be done.  Let those that have received understanding and truth rise up and share this message of hope and love for Your glory in Christ Jesus.  Amen”

I don’t have to know if the person that I am praying for is nice or a drug addict or even a child abuser, because God told me that I am to love my neighbor and never curse or pay anyone back evil for evil, so I ask God to bless everyone that I pass on the road or in the stores or on the streets. The only thing that will destroy evil completely is love, and I am determined to love my entire state from evil back to redeemed and free in Christ Jesus!  Jesus loved the Father with everything that he had and obeyed even to death on a cross, so it is nothing for me to sacrifice my time and voice to pray and speak life over the desolate spans of my state.
