Give Glory to God!

Scripture warns that “they are darkened in their understanding because of the futility of their thoughts” — or, as some translations say, “the hardness of their hearts.” Futile thoughts are empty, worthless thoughts that lead us away from the truth of God’s Word. They include self-doubt, fear, anger, and judgment — all rooted in unbelief.

The Bible also says, “Cast down all vain imaginations.” Vain imaginations are thoughts that exalt something or someone higher than Christ and His finished work. Whenever our minds dwell on fear, pride, or offense, we give power to lies instead of resting in God’s peace and love.

A wicked man, Scripture says, is one who refuses to believe God’s Word. Without faith, he cannot find peace or rest — no matter what’s happening in the world. God declared, “My people perish for lack of knowledge.” When we accept false beliefs as truth, we open the door to sickness, confusion, and defeat.

Think of how subtle deception began — when people first believed that catching a cold was “common.” Two or more witnesses agreed, and their words established a pattern. What was once harmless became accepted as normal. That is how lies gain power: through agreement.

Jesus warned, “You will give an account for every idle word you speak.”
Idle words are those that oppose the truth of God’s Word. They carry destruction because they agree with darkness rather than with life. Scripture says the tongue “sets the whole course of one’s life on fire.” We literally speak either heaven or hell into our world by our words.

To walk in victory, we must learn to speak words of life—words filled with the Spirit and rooted in truth. The only way to do that is by renewing the mind with God’s Word, unpolluting it from the world’s patterns of doubt and negativity.

This is why schools once taught the Bible and allowed prayer. Prayer shows belief—it is faith in action, an acknowledgment that God is good and that He answers. When prayer was removed, unbelief filled the gap. And where unbelief grows, purity fades—not because people stopped attending church, but because they stopped believing God’s Word.

Jesus already paid for every sin, sickness, and brokenness, but to walk free from condemnation, we must live in the higher realm of faith. And faith is born from hope—hope that God exists, that He is good, and that He will help. From faith, we grow into love—the highest realm—where we walk on the highway of holiness.

The Way of Love

1 Corinthians 13 describes love as patient, kind, humble, selfless, and full of truth.
Love “never gives up, never loses faith, always hopes, and endures through every circumstance.”

When we remain in love—in Christ—we find peace, no matter how dark the world becomes. Staying in love protects our hearts from idle words, offense, and fear.
It takes grace to overcome. It takes mercy to forgive. And it takes faith to believe that God’s Word is greater than what we see.

Don’t let anyone poison your mind or heart with negativity or unbelief.
Don’t be conformed to this world but be transformed by renewing your mind in God’s truth.
Righteousness exalts a nation, and when leaders walk in truth and speak it boldly, that nation rises in strength and peace.

So let your words bring life.
Let your faith speak louder than fear.
And let your love reveal the power of the One who already overcame the world.
