Sing a Song of Thanksgiving to The Lord!

Each morning I used to get in my car, turn up the worship music, and sing with joy to the Lord. I would declare that I was going out to awaken the dawn with my praise. Those drives became my favorite moments because God’s presence was so strong—the glory of the Lord lifted me higher and gave me fresh revelation of His heart and will for my life.

Along the way, I often stopped to help someone sleeping on the streets. Sometimes that meant bringing donuts and coffee—or hot cocoa on cold mornings. Sometimes I was blessed to pray with people, and other times I simply handed them food and spoke a simple reminder: “God hears your prayers, and He has not forgotten you.”

For many reasons, I stopped doing that last year. But today, I feel the Lord stirring me to begin again—and so I will! My heart is full of expectation.

Be blessed today and let your mouth be filled with praises to our awesome and mighty God!

“The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.”

— Psalm 28:7 (ESV)

“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.”

Prayer

Father, I pray Your love would pour over every person who reads this. Let them taste and see that You are good. Thank You that Your steadfast love endures forever. We surrender this day to You and ask that Your Holy Spirit guide us in the path You have ordained. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
