““Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me. For all that I require of you will be pleasant and easy to bear.””
Matthew 11:28-30 TPT
When my life seems too hard with cares and burdens like stress from a job, kids needing help with school work and activities, a sickness, an aged parent needing help or whatever else comes to make me feel pressured and overwhelmed, Jesus is the One who is able to carry all of those burdens for me while allowing me to simply rest in His love while he is working everything together for good.
Letting Jesus take every care from me releases me from the negative impact stress and worry have on the body and mind. Jesus tells us that worrying can add nothing to a person’s life, but instead subtracts from it peace and joy, so we should never live a worried life thinking about tomorrow or the things we have no control over anyway. So we cast our cares on Him, because He cares for us.
If you want to live a life of freedom and peace, unite your life with Christ and follow His directions that are detailed in the scriptures as the way to live a life that brings blessing to others, because it doesn’t add to the burdens and demands of what you want to get from people but instead what you can release for them to have peace and joy.
A calm mind is one that has found trust in God and no longer seeks out self-preservation or what it can get from others, because it has the peace and wisdom that comes from trusting God’s plan of salvation and walking in the righteousness that is imparted through faith in Jesus.
I am not worried about what others might think of me anymore, because I am not living to be accepted in the world, but rather as one reborn to a life in Christ. I was accepted by God and am now living for His glory and honor that comes through trusting in His plan of salvation.
There is nothing difficult about Jesus or the Kingdom of God. If you are running around doing things to please God, you can stop wearing yourself out and start surrendering yourself and all of your cares to Christ instead. He never asked us to solve the problems of the culture, because He is the solution to every issue.
People who know Him, are eager to pray for the people but not willing to listen or accept the weights they carry as necessary, because we are never to worry or fear.
Living in dread and fear of what might happen is a sign of not trusting God. We have all found ourselves in that position at one time or another, but remember the words of Jesus produce abundance of life and they don’t demand from your life but refresh and heal it.
Live loved and free from the cares of the world by seeking God first every day and letting Him take all that you are concerned with so that you can be joyful and full of gratitude and praise to God for all that He does each day for you.
